Option 2:

If you do not wish to write an essay, but do want to get a coin or pin, you can always place an order, here. Proceeds help support the channel, compensating me for my time, the costs of this website, equipment, and more.

How to Win:

Essay Language: Sorry, Brethren, but the only language I know is English. All essays must be submitted in English.

Essay Length: No More Than 3,000 Words. No Less Than 600 Words. (Gee, Jared, why these numbers? Well… because I have to read them all, for one, and the winner will be read aloud, by me, on video, and anything longer would not keep the attention of the audience.) I encourage you to employ the Trivium and find the balance between succinct and comprehensive.

Essay Topic: Your Essay must be about any or all symbolism found in this emblem:

Secrets: There are, without doubt, Masonic Secrets in this emblem. You may NOT write about anything YOUR jurisdiction would consider Secret. If your Essay clearly contains Masonic Secrets your submission will be omitted from consideration.

Topic Hints: You see the emblem at the bottom of the pillar, the Square and Compasses? They likely look “wrong” to you, but a full explanation of that emblem can be found here. That is just ONE possible topic. Every major element of the design above is worthy of discussion, and nothing in the emblem is without purpose, from design to color. It is up to you to decide to go in-depth on any particular emblem, or to give a synopsis of multiple, or all, emblems. A minute synopsis of this emblem, and further hints on the design, can be found here.

You can also watch this video below for more info about the design:

Submission Deadline:

I was not sure when I was going to do this giveaway, but the largely world-wide lockdown in response to the SARS-CoV-2 Virus is an excellent opportunity for you to participate.

Accordingly, the deadline will be Friday, May 1, 2020. Any emails received before Midnight, Central US Time (UTC -5), May 1, 2020 will be considered.

How to Submit Essay:

GIVEAWAY ENDED ON 1 MAY 2020

Fill out the contact form below, in full. There is a place for you to attach/upload a file, but please only submit a file using the file types mentioned in the form below (.PDF, .TXT, .DOC, .DOCX). Alternatively, rather than attach/upload a file, you can paste your essay into the text field below as well.

Why my Mailing Address?: How else can I know where to ship your winnings, should you win? I have done giveaways before and the giveaway always falls apart if you wait until selecting a winner to ask for their address, as you usually cannot get them to answer the email they used. As such, I do require that you give me your address now so that I do not have to try and track you down later.
